About Us

As far back as I can remember, I was consumed by fashion.

My grandmother, Lulu, owned a boutique here in Hartsville, South Carolina and when I was young, instead of playing with barbies, I was at the store dressing mannequins and creating window displays.  Even when I was home with my barbies, I was always designing unique outfits for them.  Lulu taught me about fashion, jewelry, and makeup, the art of running a small business and how to express myself through clothing.  This business was in my blood from the beginning.

When I was 19, Lulu made me a silent partner in her business.  While in college in Charleston, South Carolina, I worked in other retail venues but helped Lulu with business decisions too.  Through this experience, I was able to take over Lulu’s Fashion Boutique in Hartsville and make it my own in 2001.  This gave my grandmother a chance to retire and relax.  Lulu’s influence still lingers, and she still provides me with helpful advice and a few giggles.  Lulu’s lessons in fashion still shine through everyday in my store.

My grandmother is the perfect southern belle.  She always taught me the value of having a warm, inviting home where friends are always welcome.  I have carried that tradition on through my store.  You are a friend when you walk through the front door of Lulu’s Boutique.  We hang out, chat, have therapy sessions and you’ll leave the store ruling the fashion world.

With our southern manners and southern charm, we handpick clothing, jewelry, and accessories from up and coming designers.  We carry a variety of price points to meet everyone’s budget.  Some of our designers include: Serendipity Handmade Jewelry, Ella Moss, Theme, Glam, LTB Jeans, Lilla P, Down East Basics, DoubleZero, Ivy Jane, Big Buddha and Eric Michael Shoes.  Accessories and Jewelry are a must and we carry lots of options to make your outfit complete.
