Mother's Day is quickly approaching. If you haven't had a chance to run out and pick up a gift, make sure to stop by the shop or do a little late night online shopping with us. We have a fresh stock of candles, jewelry, shoes and the latest in spring fashion.
This year, Mother's Day is a little more precious. We've had more than one medical scare with my mom this year, thinking that we lost her. Thankfully she's pulled through and we are all very grateful. I'm looking forwarding to celebrating her life this Mother's Day.

Spring is in full bloom here in the South. No different from where you live, you may think. But there are several things that make springtime in the South just a little different from the rest of the country. For instance, let me throw out an expression you may or may not have heard: "New York state of mind, Southern state of men." ( The basic interpretation: We don't like our clothes Southern, but we do like our men Southern.) What makes a Southern man special? Just add on the manners, the "yes ma'am," the warm smile, and even the occasional sear sucker suit and bow tie. We like our men sweet, just like our iced tea.

Are You Ready To Go Back to Titanic?
If you haven’t heard yet, next week will be the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. In honor of this event, the movie is being rereleased in theaters in 3D. If you are in Hartsville, swing by Vintage Wine Boutique (just across from Lulu’s) on April 12, 2012 for a vintage inspired party. Come dressed in your Titanic best and enjoy a nice glass of wine or cold beer.
